Down with the sickness

So...it's been officially decided that I have too many RP journals for my own good. I have 54 character journals in live journal alone. This has no basis on any that are on insane journal and the one or two I might have had on scribbld once upon a time.

You know it's a sickness because I found a couple Original Character journals where they have a name, a PB, and an age but no other information and damned if I can remember what their back story was supposed to be.

Now...do I delete them...or poke my head and see if maybe, just maybe, I can unravel who they were supposed to be?

HAVE YOU TOUCHED THEM IN 6 MONTHS? DO YOU EVEN HAVE A SMALL AMOUNT OF BACKGROUND THAT YOU CAN REMEMBER?

If you truly cared about these characters, you would have played with them instead of making another one then another one. You are hoarding characters and your favorite characters feel cluttered themselves. You are not doing them justice.

Getting rid of them will clean your slate. I would keep at most 15 of them. That is a lot of characters to fully play out!!! 15 total!! Not 15 in LJ and 15 in IJ. You personally would feel less cluttered on the Internet.

Now get rid of the ones that haven't been touched in a long while. Don't fool yourself in keeping a lot because you feel you will play them later. We both know that life is to hectic to let them wait around for years. I want to see only 15 journals by next week.

I actively use approximately 25 of them on a monthly basis. Though, I think your right. If I made them and then forgot to or didn't have time to play them, I'm just going to get rid of them.

If I've never honestly used them, there's no reason to keep them, though I may jot their information down in a book if they're OC's just in case my brain remembers who they are.

That is 1.2 characters a day!!! Do you seriously enjoy playing every character?

extra rule: If it feels like a job playing them, then it is no longer fun enough to keep.

If you feel that you have to play them for your friends sake it is no longer worth it. You are going to be graduating soon. You will be on the hunt for a job. You don't need to come home and to do another job online. Trust me your friends will understand.
